The survey of 230 hearing health executives in the US and Canada revealed that 6 out of 10 patients reported some relief of their tinnitus when using hearing aids or hearing equipment and 2 of 10 reported major relief.

These findings are especially major in light of past BHI research that revealed that almost 9,000,000 American adults with hearing loss have not sought a solution to their hearing problem simply because they also have tinnitus and accidentally believe that nothing can be done about it. Tinnitus is a repeated ringing, humming, or humming in one or both ears which has no outside source. It can be intermittent or consistent, except for many that be afflicted by it, tinnitus is so intrusive that it’s got an enfeebling effect on their standard of living.

Some 50,000,000 USA citizens be afflicted by tinnitus, and for 12,000,000 the difficulty is so grim that it has effects on their day to day lives.
“Tinnitus can have a direct effect on an individual’s emotional well being. They released an article on the tinnitus survey findings in the December 2008 Hearing Review.
